Most private schools in Delhi were closed until January 8 and were set to reopen tomorrow.
Digital Desk: Due to the frigid
weather, the Delhi government has urged all private schools to remain closed
until January 15. The Directorate of Education issued the warning on a day when
Delhi registered the lowest temperature of 1.9 degrees Celsius.

earlier circular, all private schools in Delhi are advised to remain closed
till January 15, 2023, as a result of the cold wave prevailing in Delhi,"
the circular stated.

color:#2E2E2E">Today's temperature in Delhi was 1.9 degrees Celsius, the
second-lowest in the last ten years. The temperature was measured at the
Safdarjung meteorological station this morning. The only colder morning in the
capital in the last ten years occurred on January 1, 2021, when the temperature
dropped to 1.1 degrees Celsius.

and air traffic activity. The visibility near the Indira Gandhi International
(IGI) airport was 50 metres at 5.30 a.m. today.
The Indian
Meteorological Department has advised people to limit their outside activity
since it could result in frostbite.
