    Dengue cases jump to 8,200; more than 6,700 in November alone

    New Delhi: Dengue cases have hiked to more than 8,200 in the national capital, with more than 6,700 of those were recorded in November alone, according to the report.





    As per the report, dengue cases reported in previous years were 4431 (2016), 4726 (2017), 2798 (2018), 2036 (2019), and 1072 (2020).

    Notably, on November 22, the number of cases had jumped to 7,128.





    As per official reports, as many as 1,148 fresh cases had been logged in the last week. However, no fresh fatalities had been reported in the last three weeks.





    Since 1996, the city had witnessed a massive dengue outbreak in 2015, when the number of cases crossed 10,600 in October, making it the worst outbreak of the vector-borne disease in the national capital.
