    Digital Desk: India has reported 90,928 cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 56.5% more cases have been reported in the country compared to Wednesday. The most shocking aspect is that a substantial percentage of doctors are becoming infected in this third wave of the corona. Many doctors and medical staff have been found positive for coronavirus in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Patiala. So far, more than 1000 doctors and medical staff have been infected in the country.





    Maharashtra’s 260 doctors infected with Covid-19





    Maharashtra has risen as the most infected state in the third wave of covid-19. The state has recorded 26,538 covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. In Maharashtra, Mumbai has been most infected by the virus. Here, 260 resident doctors have been infected in several hospitals in three days. Meanwhile, 30 resident doctors found corona positive in Sion Hospital on Thursday.

    The condition worsens in Chandigarh’s PGI, 196 doctors and staff infected in 2 days





    In Chandigarh’s PGI, a considerable number of cases of covid-19 among the doctor’s has been reported. So far, 146 doctors and medical personnel have been infected here. While fifty doctors have been infected in several hospitals. So far, 196 doctors have been infected with the virus.





    179 doctors-medical staff infected in Ranchi





    Corona is also spreading fast in Jharkhand; on Wednesday, the largest government hospital in the state has recorded covid-19 cases. Here 179 health workers, including doctors and nurses, have been infected. Samples of 1493 people were tested in RIMS, out of which the reports of 245 people have been tested positive. At the same time, 179 doctors and medical staff came positive in RIMS. Let us tell you that 3553 new corona cases have been found in the state in the last 24 hours.





    120 doctors in four hospitals in Delhi in the grip of corona





    In Delhi, reports are circulating that many doctors have been infected with the coronavirus. In Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital, at least 50 doctors have been infected, while 26 doctors in Safdarganj were reported to be corona positive. Not only that, but in the previous several days, 45 healthcare personnel, including 38 doctors, at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital have been infected with corona. At the same time, about 20 doctors at the Hindu Rao Hospital in Delhi have been infected with corona and seven doctors at Loknayak Hospital.





    200 doctors infected in Patna





    Doctors at the NMCH in Patna, Bihar, consistently test positive for covid-19. On Tuesday, 59 doctors were found infected with the deadly virus in this city. On Monday, samples of 133 doctors and medical students were taken here, of which 72 people were found positive.





    On Sunday, 96 doctors and medical students were detected with the strain. In NMCH, Patna, more than 200 doctors and medical students have become positive.





    70 doctors and medical staff infected in Kolkata





    In Kolkata, at least 70 doctors and nurses at the NRS Hospital in this city have been infected with the virus. In addition, reports of numerous doctors getting infected in Chittaranjan Shishu Sadan Hospital and other hospitals have also come to the fore.





    25 members of medical staff infected in Medanta Lucknow





    On the one hand, covid-19 cases are quickly increasing in Uttar Pradesh. In a recent test, 25 medical staff of Lucknow’s Medanta Hospital have been infected. Among the 25 people, a doctor and paramedical personnel were also included. The government had ordered a criminal probe into all Medanta employees on Saturday.





    100 medical students infected in Patiala





    100 students at Patiala Medical College have been found covid positive. Following that, all students residing in the hostel were instructed to leave the hostel.





    The second wave claimed the lives of 2000 doctors





    Meanwhile, the IMA has disclosed the number of doctors who died in the second wave. According to this, about 2000 doctors have died during the second wave.





    As per IMA, the death rate among health personnel is higher than the general population. According to the IMA, approximately 100,000 doctors were infected in the second wave.
