Senior Congressman Randeep Singh Surjewala announced the action and said, "We have come to the High Grounds PS with an important matter. We have filed an FIR against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.”
Digital Desk: Senior Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala, Dr. Parmeshwar, and DK Shivakumar have made a police complaint against
Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah as well as rally organisers for making provocative remarks, inciting animosity and hatred, and defaming the opposition in Bengaluru's High Grounds Police Station.
DK Shivakumar, the head of the Karnataka Congress, referred to Shah's comment of violence if the Congress wins the election and stated, "Action should be taken according to law. A regular person would have been arrested if he had done it. The Union Home Minister is not allowed to predict if there will be rioting if the Congress wins the election. He's the home minister, not the star campaigner of the BJP.”
"More than 20 cases have been unfairly filed against me. The Election Commission has already received a complaint from the
Indian National Congress. We came here after submitting the lawsuit there," he noted.
Senior Congressman Randeep Singh Surjewala announced the action and said, "We have come to the High Grounds PS with an important matter. We have filed an FIR against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.”
"DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah had also called for the PFI to be banned, but CM Basavaraj Bommai did nothing. The BJP is in a dire state as they are losing this election and dropping below 40 seats. They are now turning to making fake and false claims," he stated.
He continued by saying that his party has filed the FIR in accordance with Sections 153 A of the Indian Penal Code (promote enmity between different groups based on religion, race, place of birth, residence, or language), 171 G (false statement in connection with an election), 505(2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred, or ill-will between classes), and 123 (conceal with intent to facilitate design to wage war).
