Digital Desk: A flight carrying 274 Indian people arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Sunday as part of 'Operation Ajay,' which was launched to rescue Indians from war-torn Israel.

Notably, this is the fourth flight since the special operation began. It took off from Ben Gurion Airport in Israel around 11:45 p.m. local time.

This was the second flight of the day and the fourth since 'Operation Ajay' began to depart from Israel. Before this, a flight carrying the third batch of 197 Indian nationals took off at about 5.40 p.m. local time.

Earlier, a third flight from Israel carrying 197 Indian people had arrived in the national capital Delhi.

S Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister, tweeted about the fourth flight departing from Israel, it read, "2nd flight of the day departs from Tel Aviv carrying 274 passengers."

The special planes are part of an effort that began on October 12 to help Indian people who want to return home.

'Operation Ajay' travel spaces will be assigned on a 'first come, first served' basis. "In the event of a no-show or refusal to travel after confirmation and slotting, your name will be moved to the back of the queue," the Indian embassy in Israel had previously stated.

"The Embassy has been working nonstop to assist all of our citizens in Israel who wish to leave." We have contacted students, carers, and company owners. Some of them are truly volunteering with us. "We urge everyone to remain calm," said Ambassador Sanjeev Singla, according to PTI news agency.

On Thursday, the first charter flight from Israel transported 212 passengers. The second round of 235 Indian nationals arrived late on Friday. So far, 918 Indian people have been flown out of Israel.

There are around 18,000 Indian nationals living and working in Israel, including carers, students, some IT professionals, and diamond traders.

The continuous confrontation between Israeli soldiers and Hamas militants compelled the voluntary withdrawal of Indians from Israel.

The unexpected attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7 killed around 1,300 people in Israel, while Israeli counter-airstrikes killed at least 1,900 people in Gaza.

The Indian embassy in Israel is assisting Indian businesses and has established a helpline for Indian citizens in need of assistance. In light of the increasing violence, the MEA had also established a 24-hour control room. The control room will assist in monitoring the situation as well as providing information and assistance.
