Fraud complaint filed against Anand Mahindra and 13 members of Company: Know here why
Rajesh Mishra and his family were allegedly threatened with death and company managers abused them on the direction of the directors, Mishra said.

Digital Desk: In Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, a case has been filed in Raipurwa Police Station alleging major offenses, including fraud, against Anand Mahindra and 13 employees of the Mahindra Company. According to the man, Mahindra staff allegedly sold the Scorpio without airbags, resulting in the death of his only son in the accident.

Rajesh Mishra, a resident of Juhi claimed to have bought a black Scorpio from Tirupati Auto in Zarib Chowki on December 2, 2020, for the sum of Rs 17.39 lakh. Information was given by the company regarding the vehicle's safety and characteristics. He had also seen the advertisement displayed by Anand Mahindra on various social media.

Apoorva was travelling with friends from Lucknow to Kanpur on January 14, 2022, when their car flipped over after hitting a divider due to fog. In this incident, Apoorva lost his life.

He went to Tirupati Auto on January 29 to report the problems with the vehicle and to complain that the airbag did not open even though the seatbelt was on at the time of the collision. He also accused them of fraud. According to Rajesh Mishra, his son would not have died in the accident if the car had undergone a thorough inspection.

The company's employees got into an argument while discussing this issue, so they called the directors Chandra Prakash Gurnani, Vikram Singh Mehta, Rajesh Ganesh Jejurikar, Muthiah Murgappan Muthiah, Vishakha Nirubhai Desai, Nisbah Godrej, and Anand Gopal Mahindra to let them know what had happened. Rajesh Mishra and his family were allegedly threatened with death and company managers abused them on the direction of the directors, Mishra said.

The Scorpio was recovered from the scene of the collision and parked in the Mahindra Company's Ruma store. He claimed that the company failed to add airbags to the car. According to the concerned police personnel, a technical investigation will be carried out in this case.
