Digital Desk: A newly formed association in Karnataka, "Alcohol Lovers Association," has issued a list of requests to the state government, including that each bottle be insured for one lakh rupees. Members of the association even complained that they had been ignored by the state government for a long period.
At a press conference in Karnataka's Haasan, a spokesperson of the association said, "We (alcohol lovers) contribute 30 percent to the government's income, and we are being ignored for a longer time. So, we made a list of demands before the government that will help our families and us."
Raising their demands, one of the association members said, "Each bottle should be covered with one lakh rupees in case of the death of a consumer. A special corporation needs to be set up for alcoholics in the state, and the government must provide one lakh houses every year to us. Additionally, the government should cover the cost of our liver surgery as well as regular taluk-level health checkups."
