    Guwahati/Mumbai: IPS officer Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar seen here in the picture is taking slow steps towards fast improvement like a 'Veer' (warrior) in Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. He is undergoing treatment for the bullet injuries he received during the violent Assam-Mizoram Border clash.





    Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar, the senior cop, who was seriously injured, during the violent Assam-Mizoram border clash, is recuperating back to health. Back on his feet like a roaring warrior, Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar, 2009-batch officer, hails from Pune, serving as the police superintendent of Cachar in Assam.





    Vaibhav Nimbalkar suffered multiple fractures in his femur bone and was initially rushed, to Silchar Medical College and Hospital in serious condition. Later, he was airlifted, to Mumbai where he underwent surgery at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. After undergoing multiple surgeries, Nimbalkar is back on his feet. His wife Anuja uploaded an image of him taking baby steps towards normalcy with a support of a walker.





    On July 26, of violent clash broke out in the disputed area of the Assam-Mizoram border, Lailapur, where 6 Assam police cops died, and Vaibhav was grievously injured, along with 60 other cops. An exchange of fire and stone-pelting ensued on both sides of the border that heated the situation of a long-standing dispute on border issues.
