    IT raids at properties of Akhilesh Yadav’s aide in Noida, Delhi

    Digital Desk: The sleuths of Income Tax department conducted raids at properties of Ajay Chaudhary, CMD of a real-estate company that goes by the name Ace group, in Noida and Delhi. It is believed that Ajay Chaudhary is a close aide of Samajwadi Party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.





    The IT raids were conducted at 40 sites covering Noida, Agra and Delhi and the is still underway.





    All corporate offices owned by Ajay Chaudhary’s Ace Group are under IT’s radar. Searches are being conducted in all corporate offices which include residential and commercial projects.

    As per I-T officials, raids are being conducted as part of the tax evasion investigation against the company and others. The I-T team is examining computer data including hard disk and digital equipment (if any) of the builder in connection with tax evasion.





    Ace Group’s Balance Sheet is also put under surveillance to check for any financial mismanagement while trying to evade tax.





    Currently, I-T raids are underway at properties liked to Harsimran Singh Alagh, a promoter of Nuova Group in Agra.





    In an earlier raid conducted by the Income tax officials, a perfume businessman identified as Piyush Jain of Kanpur was arrested and is currently lodged in the Kanpur Jail. The sleuths of the Income tax department then raided another perfumer Pushpraj Jain, who is an SP leader and member of the legislative council. Pushpraj has now been taken into custody.

    Last week, a team of IT raided the house of another close aide of Akhilesh Yadav, builder Ajay Rathi.





    The I-T team has been conducted a marathon raid across Uttar Pradesh following the recovery huge amount of cash, jewellery from various businessmen, traders, political leaders etc.
