Digital Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda will take part in separate roadshows in the southern part of the state on Monday as part of the party's most recent round of electoral campaigning in Karnataka, which is headed for elections.

Shah arrived in Bengaluru on Sunday. According to the BJP's plan, Shah travelled to Mysuru to visit the renowned Chamundeshwari Temple.

Then, at 1 and 2 pm, he took out a roadshow from Gundlupet in the Chamarajanagar district, which he will reach by helicopter from Mysuru. The former BJP leader who is now the home minister will then fly to Sakaleshpura, where from 3 to 4 pm, he will be holding another roadshow to strengthen party cadres.

He will fly in a special aircraft to Hubballi in northern Karnataka in the evening after returning to Mysuru.

The BJP leader will spend the night in Hubballi and have an election working committee meeting with party officials there. J P Nadda, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, will board a special flight to Bengaluru in the afternoon, from which point he would go by helicopter to Sidlaghatta in the Chikkaballapur district.

From 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., Nadda will take part in a roadshow in Sidlaghatta. Then, from 4.30 to 5.30 p.m., he would travel to Hoskote in the Bengaluru Rural region to take part in another roadshow.

Nadda will speak at a party meeting in the evening in Devanahalli, Bengaluru Rural district, about the state of the election preparations in the Hoskote, Devanahalli, Doddaballapur, and Nelamangala assembly constituencies.

After supper, Nadda will take a special plane back to Delhi. The main opposition Congress is attempting to unseat the state's ruling BJP, but the JD(S) still has a significant role with only a few weeks until voting. The incumbent BJP is making every effort to maintain its position of authority in the state.

Voting will take place in Karnataka on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13.
