New Delhi: The price of the subsidized LPG cylinder has yet again increased by Rs 25 per cylinder on Wednesday. In Delhi, the price of subsidized LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 884.50 per cylinder.

The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has increased by Rs 75 per cylinder and will now cost Rs 1,693 per cylinder.

The government provides 12 subsidized LPG cylinders of 14.2 kgs to a household, every year. The highest price hike of LPG cylinder is seen in Kolkata at Rs 911 per cylinder, Chennai at Rs 900.50, Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow at Rs 897.5.

The price of the LPG in the country is determined by the ongoing crude oil prices in international markets and the exchange rate of the rupee-dollar.

Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader on Wednesday, said that the country is uniting against this injustice, over the rise in prices of domestic cooking gas. The party is attacking the government over the price rise in not only LPG but also petrol and diesel and demanded a reduction in them by removing taxes imposed by the central government.

The Congress leader shared a chart showing the price rise of domestic LPG cylinders in four metros of the country from January and used the hashtag “#IndiaAgainstBJPLoot.”
