Digital Desk: The government of India declared in a statement that mobile internet will be blocked in Haryana's Nuh District from 8.30 p.m. on September 15 to 10:29 a.m. on September 16.
Any violation of this order shall result in legal action under the applicable provisions.
The Haryana government imposed Section 144 on Friday and ordered the suspension of mobile internet, bulk SMS, and dongle services in Nuh for two days on September 15. People were additionally urged to offer Friday prayers at home, according to sources.
"We have imposed Section 144 CrPcin Nuh and have also requested that people offer Friday prayers at their homes," stated SP Nuh in a statement.
The decision came in response to Deputy Commissioner Nuh's appeal, which raised concerns about probable tension, annoyance, agitation, and damage to public and private property, which could disrupt public peace and calm in the district. The following is stated in an official statement issued by the state's Department of Home Affairs.
Authorities have recognised the exploitation of internet services, notably the transmission of incendiary information and false rumours via social media and messaging systems like as WhatsApp, as a significant element contributing to civil disturbance fears.
This action attempts to reduce the spread of misinformation, which might potentially motivate agitators and demonstrations, resulting in deaths and property destruction.
