    Digital Desk: Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani is reportedly in the running to become the new owner of London club Arsenal. He reportedly made bids for Liverpool and Manchester United in the past.

    According to insiders who must remain nameless to safeguard business interests, Ambani's son Akash, 31, is said to be a huge Arsenal fan and the London club is the one the family would choose to join if they were to enter the football world.

Reliance Industries originally intended to submit a proposal for a 51% share in Liverpool in 2010 alongside Sahara Group chairman Subroto Roy. However, the rumours were refuted by Christain Purslow, the then-CEO of Liverpool.
