    Owner of famed Gurugram's Ambience Mall lands in ED net for alleged bank fraud worth Rs 200 cr

    Owner of the famous Ambience Mall in Gurugram, Haryana, Raj Singh Gehlot has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a bank fraud case on Thursday. He has been arrested on charges of fraud of Rs. 200 crores by the bank. Allegations are coming in that the owner did the fraud with the help of political people and government officials.






    Gehlot will be produced before the court in Delhi today, and will also be probed by the CBI.
    Ambience Mall is the largest mall in Asia, which sees a footfall of at least 50,000 people at weekends and prior to covid-19, visitors reached up to a lakh on weekends. It was alleged by the Punjab and Haryana High Court that the land where the mall was built was meant for a housing project, the court has asked the CBI to probe the case for the illegal construction of the commercial building which is built on approximately 18.98 acres of land.
