    PM Modi delivers keynote address at Sydney Dialogue today

    New Delhi: Prime minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address at Sydney Dialogue today at around 9 am. The address highlighted the theme of India's technology development and revolution.





    The Sydney Dialogue started on November 17 and will continue up to November 19, 2021. This event is an initiative of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.





    The prime minister's office stated that Modi would present the keynote address on November 18, 2021.





    PM Modi shared a post through his Twitter handle informing netizens about the event. The tweet read, "At around 9 am tomorrow, November 18, will be delivering the keynote address at The Sydney Dialogue. This forum focuses on new avenues of technology. It also highlighted how they can be leveraged for the good of our planet. @ASPI_org."

    Modi spoke on India's technology growth and revolution. Australian prime minister Scott Morrison addresses the event with his opening words.





    Prime Minister also stated that India is "turning the challenges of the past into an opportunity to leap into the future. While discoursing on the theme of "India's technology evolution and revolution," PM Modi noted five significant developments in India.





    "One, we are creating the world's most comprehensive public information infrastructure. Over 1.3 billion Indians have a unique digital identification. We are also on our approach to connecting 600,0000 villages with broadband. We have further developed the world's most effective payment support, the UPI. Over 800 million use the internet, 750 million are on smartphones," said PM Modi.





    The event will also include keynote addresses by the Australian prime minister and former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.
