Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 15 airport projects across India, totaling over Rs 9800 crore.

The airports in Delhi, Lucknow, Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Adampur are among the projects for which twelve new terminal buildings are proposed. At the airports in Kadapa, Hubballi, and Belagavi, the foundation stone will also be set for three new terminal buildings.

620 lakh people will be served annually by the 12 new terminal buildings combined. After the three Terminal Buildings, the foundation stone of which is being placed, will, upon completion, increase the total annual passenger handling capacity to 95 Lakh passengers per annum.

In addition to cutting-edge passenger comforts, these terminal buildings will have several sustainable elements like LED lighting, energy-saving canopies, and double-insulated roofing.
