    In his address to the crowd, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India had resolved to launch 475 Vande Bharat trains during the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, and the train being launched off today from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri is one of them.

    The Prime Minister stated that the government will spend roughly 5000 crores to complete the numerous projects whose foundation stones are being laid and inaugurated today.
    The Prime Minister also stated that later in the day, he will have the opportunity to dedicate numerous projects connected to the purity of the Ganga and drinking water to West Bengal.

    He stated that the Namami Gange Scheme has approved more than 25 sewage projects in West Bengal. Eleven projects have already been finished, and seven are being completed today.
    Work on five new programmes with a total budget of Rs 1,500 crores begins today.

    The Prime Minister emphasized the people of West Bengal's affection for the land, remarking on their enthusiasm for visiting various areas of cultural heritage in India and learning from it.

    Among those present were West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Governor Dr C V Ananda Bose, Union Minister for Railways in India, Shri Ashwini Vaisnav, Union Ministers of State, Shri John Barla, Dr Subhas Sarkar, and Shri Nisith Parmanik, and Member of Parliament, Shri Prasoon Banerjee.
