    Parliament Marshals in Parliament House to wear Manipuri Turbans as part of their new uniforms

    Digital Desk:  During the special session, Parliament House personnel will wear new uniforms beginning September 18.


    Marshals in both houses of Parliament will also wear new uniforms. The Marshals' attire will include a Manipuri turban.


    Marshals from both chambers of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, will wear new uniforms with Manipuri turbans.


    Furthermore, the secretarial staff's Bandhgala outfit will be replaced by a shirt with a lotus flower motif. They will also be dressed in khaki loose trousers and a Nehru jacket.


    In the meanwhile, women's uniforms will be specifically designed sarees.


    The Manipuri and Kannada turbans will be included in the uniforms of the marshals in both Houses of Parliament. 


    The security guards at the Parliament will receive commando training. Instead of safari outfits, they will be given military-style uniforms.
