    Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He is now seeking a successive term for the seat.

    Digital Desk: Election officials inspected a helicopter carrying Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday in the Nilgiris region of Tamil Nadu, according to news agency PTI. After the chopper touched down in the Nilgiris, police reported that the flying squad officers searched it.

    Rahul Gandhi was on his way to Wayanad, his Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, where he was scheduled to participate in several campaign events, such as a roadshow and a public meeting, when the incident occurred.

    Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He is now seeking a successive term for the seat.

    The opposition INDIA bloc's ally, the Communist Party of India (CPI), will face off against Rahul Gandhi, which is an interesting matchup. The leader of the BJP's Kerala branch, K Surendran, is his rival.

    With 20 Lok Sabha seats, Kerala will hold a single phase of voting on April 26. The Lok Sabha elections, however, are scheduled for April 19 across 39 Tamil Nadu constituencies.
