Digital Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi issued a four-page preliminary response to Delhi Police's notice on Sunday amid the investigation into the "women still being sexually assaulted" remark. At the just concluded Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi made the remark.
Gandhi's 10-point response questioned the police action, the procedure used by the authorities, and the apparent urgency following a 45-day delay from the time the statement was made. After a Delhi Police team visited his home for the third time in five days, the Congress leader responded a few hours later. Rahul referred to the police response as "unprecedented" and reportedly questioned whether it had anything to do with his stance on the Adani issue both inside and outside of Parliament.

According to the police, Gandhi stated that "I have heard that ladies are still being sexually abused" during the Srinagar leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Police wanted to know if any victims of sexual assault had approached Gandhi because the Yatra had also passed through Delhi to determine whether they needed to look into the situation.
According to a representative, "The police had asked him to give details of these victims so that security might be provided to them."
