Repeal of farm laws proves BJP’s failure to explain their benefits: Uma Bharti

Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti stated that she was speechless after Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared to repeal the three contentious farm laws as the move reflected the failure of party workers to explain their benefits.

Expressing her dissatisfaction, Bharti tweeted, “I have been at the banks of Ganga in Varanasi for the past four days. I was left speechless following the PM’s announcement on November 19 about repealing farm laws.” So I responded three days later.”

Additionally, she claimed that till now, farmers of India have never been satisfied with any of the government’s measures.

In another tweet, she wrote, “It was the inadequacy of us BJP workers if the Prime Minister @narendramodi ji could not explain the importance of agricultural laws to the farmers. Why we could not communicate (the importance of laws) properly to the farmers.”

Moreover, stressing about the reason for her distress, she said, “We could not face the repeated propaganda of the opposition party regarding the farm laws. That is the reason of my distress.”

While tagging Modi as her leader, the former CM said that the way PM Modi functions, characterized by mutual coordination, is unmatched in the world’s politics.

Further, referring to her family’s agricultural background, she said, “Till now the farmers of India have not been satisfied with the government effort. I belong from a farmer’s family both of my brothers are dependent on agriculture and I daily communicate with them.”

Notably, PM Modi, who announced the repeal of the three farm laws on November 19, had received many negative remarks from opposition parties in recent days.

The Kisan Union, on November 22, sent an open letter to PM Modi listing their pending demands, including the MSP committee, its right, its time frame, its duties, Electricity Bill 2020 and withdrawal of cases on farmers.
