    On March 2, the Supreme Court ordered the formation of a six-member committee to investigate claims of stock manipulation levelled against Adani Group by US short-seller Hindenberg.

    The Supreme Court on Wednesday extended the
    Securities and Exchange Board of India's investigation into claims of stock
    price manipulation by the Adani group until August 14.



    color:black">A bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud instructed the SEBI
    to file an updated investigation progress report.



    The bench, which also
    included Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala, also directed that the report
    of the Justice A M Sapre committee, which had been presented to it, be made
    available to the parties so that they may help the court in the case.



    On March 2, the Supreme Court ordered the formation of a
    six-member committee to investigate claims of stock manipulation levelled
    against Adani Group by US short-seller Hindenberg.



    The Supreme Court scheduled a hearing on the case for July 11.
