The victim was identified as Neha Paswan of Savreji Kharg village who was severely thrashed by her family members after she insisted on wearing jeans and a top.
The mother of the victim claimed that she suffered head injuries as she was beaten up by the family members and it led to her death. Moreover, the autopsy report also confirmed severe injury and fracture in the head of the victim.
The younger brother of the victim Vivek stated to the media persons that their uncles and grandfather continuously abused her for her dressing sense. They always have an objection over wearing jeans by her sister and on that day too they asked her several times to stop wearing it but as she denied to obey them they thrashed her to death.
In accordance with the complaint filed by the victim mother against 10 people including grandparents a case has been registered under Sections 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence), 302 (punishment for murder) and other provisions of the IPC said Mahuadih SHO Ram Mohan Singh.
