Digital Desk: The Maharashtra police detained a man from Mumbai on suspicion of killing and dismembering his live-in partner on Wednesday. Manoj Sahani, who has lived with the woman in a rented flat for more than three years, was named as the suspect.

According to Indian Express, the deceased woman has been identified as Saraswati Vaidya, an orphan.
The two had shared a rented flat in the Akashganga building on Mira Road for many years. The Nayanagar police received a report of a bad smell coming from the couple's flat on Wednesday. When the police arrived later, they discovered a human body in pieces inside the flat. The body was dismembered, and bits were scattered about the apartment. According to the preliminary inquiry into the matter, the woman was murdered horribly.
