    Two-month-old baby girl found dead inside microwave oven in South Delhi

    According to a senior police officer, the preliminary investigation indicates that the mother of the two-month-old baby girl, who is the prime suspect in the crime


    Digital Desk: On Monday, a two-month-old baby girl was discovered dead inside a microwave oven in the Chirag Dilli neighbourhood of south Delhi.

    According to Benita Mary Jaiker, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), they received information about the baby's death about 3.15 p.m. and investigated all potential angles. She went on to say that a murder case had been filed against unidentified individuals.



    "The infant's parents, Gulshan and Dimple Kaushik, are being questioned at the police station," Ms Jaiker said, adding that additional investigation is continuing.

    According to a senior police officer, the preliminary investigation indicates that the mother of the two-month-old baby girl, who is the prime suspect in the crime, was distraught at the arrival of a girl child.

    "Ms Kaushik had been disturbed since Ananya was born in January of this year. She even argued with her husband about it "NDTV obtained information from sources.



    They also have a four-year-old son.

    Ms Kaushik had shut herself inside the house, according to a neighbour who alerted the authorities about the infant's death, following which her mother-in-law sounded an alarm. "We smashed the glass and walked into the room. We discovered the mom comatose inside with her son, but Ananya, the two-month-old infant, was missing "He stated.

    Ananya's grandma and three neighbours searched the house and discovered the newborn inside a microwave oven. The oven was installed in a room on the house's second storey.

    According to authorities, the child's father was at the adjacent department shop at the time of the event.
