From March 7 to 10, Raimondo will be in India for the CEO Forum and Indo-US Business Dialogue.
Digital Desk: On a visit to India, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo stopped by the home of Rajnath Singh, the Indian Minister of Defense, on Wednesday and took part in the Holi festivities.
Raimondo was spotted dancing to the beat of the drums with Rajnath Singh and the Indian Foreign Affairs Minister S Jaishankar while her face was covered in colour and a garland was added to her Holi outfit.
In a statement to ANI, Raimondo said, "It's an honour for me to be here on such a holiday. I'm glad to be participating in the Holi celebration with everyone. The Minister made me feel quite welcome, which is great. We wish you a happy Holi."
Singh also took to Twitter and said, "Delighted to host the United States Secretary of Commerce, Ms. Gina Raimondo on the auspicious occasion of Holi at my official residence".

In addition to Raimondo, other guests at Rajnath Singh's home were BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, Union Ministers for Sports, Youth Affairs, and Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, Piyush Goyal, and Commerce, Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution.
Additionally present at the celebrations at Singh's official house was Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. The gathering assembled there was entertained by an artist dressed in peacock feathers. The American diplomat was also seen playing the drum and dancing.
The minister also posted congratulations on Twitter earlier in the day.
Rajnath Singh said in the tweet, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the occasion of Holi. A symbol of joy, gaiety and harmony, may this festival fill your life with new colours of success, happiness and good health."
From March 7 to 10, Raimondo will be in India for the CEO Forum and Indo-US Business Dialogue. She will talk about how collaboration in diverse areas might open up new trade and investment opportunities between the US and India.
According to a US Commerce department release, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Raimondo soft-launched the US-India CEO Conference in November.
