    Venkaiah Naidu tests positive for COVID
    Digital Desk: Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu tested positive for covid. According to a tweet from the Vice President Secretariat, Mr Naidu has asked everyone who has contacted him to isolate themselves and get tested.

    For a week, the Vice President will also be in self-isolation.

    "The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who is in Hyderabad, tested COVID positive today. He has decided to remain in self-isolation for a week. He has advised all those who came in contact with him to isolate themselves and get tested," the Vice President Secretariat tweeted today.

    India's daily COVID-19 curve improved slightly today, with the country reporting 3.33 lakh cases, down slightly from yesterday. India is the second-worst-affected country after the United States, with 3.92 crore cases.

    The active cases account for 5.57 per cent of all infections, while the COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 93.18 per cent nationwide.

    The daily positivity rate, which is the percentage of coronavirus tests that come back positive and is a critical indicator of the pandemic's condition, is up slightly from 17.22 per cent to 17.78 per cent,while the weekly positivity rate remains at 16.65 per cent.
