Hyderabad: A homemaker allegedly committed suicide after feeling offended with her tailor husband for stitching a blouse, which she did not approve of. As per reports, Vijayalakshmi, who lived with her husband Srinivasa and two kids at Golnaka Thirumala Nagar area in Amberpet, Hyderabad, was found dead in her bedroom after she had an argument with her spouse over a blouse he had stitched for her.
Srinivasa, a tailor by profession, makes his livelihood by selling sari and blouse materials door to door and stitching them at his house, made a blouse for his wife. His wife, however, was not impressed by his work and asked him to redo the blouse again. To this, Srinivasa opened the stitches of the blouse he had made and asked him to redo the blouse again. To this, Srinivasa opened the stitches of the blouse he had made and asked Vijayalakshmi to do it herself as per her liking.
This did not go too well with Vijayalakshmi, and she locked herself in her room the next day. When her kids returned from school, they found the bedroom door closed. Unable to get any response after repeated knocking, the husband was informed of the situation, who then rushed back home and opened the door forcibly and found the woman hanging.
Amberpet Inspector P.Sudhakar said that, as per the husband, Vijayalakshmi locked herself whenever she was upset with anything, so he did not suspect any mishap to occur. Police have begun their investigation in a case of a suspicious death as the deceased did not leave any suicide note behind.
