Digital Desk: The Delhi Police has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate sexual harassment allegations levied against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The SIT team consists of ten members, including a female Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

"The team was formed to collect information from various states in response to complaints lodged by female wrestlers," an official stated.

WFI chief Singh's statement has also been recorded by the Delhi Police, a police official said on Friday. The police also asked for documents from Singh, according to an IANS source. Further statements from Singh will be obtained if necessary, it added. The WFI chief has refuted all claims levied against him, the source asserted.

Meanwhile, the police have recorded the testimony of Vinod Tomar, the WFI's Assistant Secretary, who is also charged in the case and is named in the Delhi Police FIR.

Leading wrestlers have been protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar since April 23, led by Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia. Farmers from Haryana and Punjab recently showed their support for the wrestlers who were protesting and joined the demonstration earlier this week.
