Jammu And Kashmir : Indian Air Force carried out aerial strike at terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir early this morning. “Twelve Mirage 2000 Indian fighter jets struck major terrorist camps across the Line of Control (LoC) and completely destroyed it by shelling 1000 kg bombs”, Indian Air Force said to the media.
A group of Mirage jets flying over India Sky territory struck major terrorist camps across LoC at 12:30 am on February 26 completely destroying many terror base camps.
The IAF sources said 12 Mirage 2000 jets took part in the operation that dropped 1000 Kg bombs on terror camps across LoC and completely destroyed three Alpha 3 Control Rooms of Jaish in Balakot, Chakoti, Muzaffarabad. Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded along the LoC and air force officials are carrying out an assessment of the damage inflicted on the terror sanctuaries.
According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been briefed by NSA Ajit Doval about the air raid.
Pakistan Army spokesperson, Major General Asif Ghafoor on Tuesday morning claimed that one Indian Air Force (IAF) jet violated the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector last night.
Taking to Twitter, Major General Asif Ghafoor alleged the IAF jet entered into Pakistani territory from Muzaffarabad sector and the Indian aircraft was driven out of Pakistan airspace after a Pakistan Air Force jet was scrambled into intercept the enemy aircraft.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson also said the IAF jet released its payload near Balakot while escaping and no loss of life or property was reported. However, the IAF hasn’t clarified on the Pakistan Army spokesperson’s claim.
