Lucknow/Delhi: Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi is likely to meet UP Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari and DGP Om Prakash Singh today to discuss the law and order arrangement ahead of the verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute.

Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, also had a video conference with the state’s top police officials, divisional commissioners and district magistrates. As a part of the security, the government has decided to deploy two helicopters as standby. 20 temporary jails have also been set up and rapid reaction force (RRF) will be on vigil at 78 places.

An official release mentioned that the Chief Minister has given direction to each district to ensure normalcy. It was decided that a state-level control room will be set up in Lucknow and every district will be having separate control rooms.

The apex court is expected to deliver the verdict on the Ayodhya dispute before November 17,2019 as Ranjan Gogoi’s tenure as the CJI comes to an end on that day.
