Pulwama: In a major success for the Indian Armed forces, the mastermind behind the Pulwama terror attack, Abdul Ghazi has been gunned down in an encounter operation carried out by the Indian army. Two days back a suicide bomber had rammed his explosives laden SUV into the convoy carrying CRPF jawans, where 44 soldiers of the CRPF attained martyrdom.

From 17th February, 2019, the Indian armed forces started with the attack operation against militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad hiding in an unspecified region in Pulwama, Kashmir.
In an operation which continued entire night, 4 soldiers of the Indian armed forces were martyred in a cross gun battle against the militants who were hiding in a house of a local.

After receiving input of the militants hiding place, the Indian Armed forces accompanied by CRPF and intel from Jammu and Kashmir police, the armed forces surrounded the suspected house where the militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad were suspected to be hiding.
Post the sensational Pulwama terror attack, the Indian Armed forces received information of the hiding place of the militants as well as the mastermind who was gunned down by the bullets of the Indian Armed forces.
In the gun battled that ensued, 4 of the soldiers of the Indian forces too lost their lives.

As per sources of the Intelligence, the militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad were hiding in a house in Pulwama. At the time of the operation, three militants were present inside the house.
The operation is still continuing where the Indian Army has confirmed of more militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad hiding across Kashmir valley.
