Mumbai: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said today that a BJP-Shiv Sena government should be in power in Maharashtra under the leadership of the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. When his name floated as a compromise to be the Chief Minister, he stated that he does not see the point of him being the Chief Minister of Maharashtra as he is in Delhi now.
Mr. Gadkari will be meeting with the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today in Nagpur but he affirms that Bhagwat or the RSS has no role in the formation of the government in Maharashtra. This however, signaled a surge in the activity of the tussle between BJP and Shiv Sena.

With just 24 hours left for the formation of government, a BJP delegation will be meeting the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today.
The government formation in Maharashtra has been stalled since October 24, 2019 because of the Sena’s demand for a 50:50 share of power. BJP on the other hand, still maintains that Devendra Fadnavis should continue as the Chief Minister for a full term.
