Sonali Phogat reported feeling uneasy to her staff on Monday, and she was brought to a hospital in Goa.
Digital Desk: Sonali Phogat, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and actress, died late Monday night due to a heart attack in Goa.
On Monday, the 41-year-old Bigg Boss 14 participant complained to her staff about feeling uneasy and was admitted to the hospital.
The post-mortem is being performed, according to police.
Her family is on their way to Goa from Bhuthan village in Haryana.
Sonali's husband, Sanjay Phogat, was discovered dead at a farmhouse in 2016. She has a close relationship with her daughter, Yashodhara Phogat.
Sonali ran for the Haryana Assembly constituency of Adampur on a BJP ticket against Congress candidate Kuldeep Bishnoi in 2019.
Sonali was most recently seen in season 14 of the controversial Salman Khan-hosted television reality show Bigg Boss. She had entered the game as a wildcard competitor, and her popularity had grown since then.
In 2016, she made her acting debut in the television series Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma. In the show, she played Fatima, the wife of Haider, a feared underworld don.
She also appeared in the Haryanvi film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti.
Sonali has appeared in several Punjabi and Haryanvi music videos. She also appeared in the web series The Story Of Badmashgarh.
Sonali had changed her Twitter profile image and put a video on her Instagram account just hours before her death on Monday.
