A telephonic conversation put a person in the dock after the conversation spilled out the alleged assassination bid on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The convict, 1998 Coimbatore serial blast accused was caught red handed when the Coimbatore police released the alleged telephonic conversation, which went viral on social media in which the accused was purportedly heard saying that he is planning to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Coimbatore serial blast in 1998 killed over 58 people and property over crore was confined to flames.
The purported conversation which is making headlines in social media is an eight-minute long conversation, which is being circulated in social media, was between a man, who has completed a jail term in the blast case and lives in Kuniyamuthur in the city, and a transport contractor.
The initial conversation was mainly based on car finances, but suddenly the blast convict was heard saying “We have decided to eliminate (Prime Minister) Modi, was we were the ones who had planted bombs when (former deputy prime minister L K) Advani visited the city in 1998,” the police said.
The police said in a press release that the convict has been arrested after the conversation went viral in social media. A team of special police force is investigation the whole conversation to dictate the authenticity of the conversation and the genuineness of the persons in it.
