Srinagar : When the entire nation was busy celebrating the day of love, Jadumoni Das, CRPF jawan of 43rd Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from Assam too thought it like any other day. Jadumoni Das was listening to Assamese songs on his mobile phone and was chit-chatting with his colleagues as they were moving towards their destination. Within minutes his world changed as he saw the blood covered bodies of his colleagues lying scattered around and black smoke engulfing the sky.

Jadumoni Das hails from Jaji, Palasbari Tehsil, Kamrup, Assam, called his kin back home informing about the attack and recorded a video of the attack on his mobile phone of the barbarous attack.
In one of the worst terror attack, A Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the bus carrying CRPF personnel on February 14th, 2019. Nearly 40 CRPF personnel were killed and many others injured. The vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kgs of explosives.
“There is nothing left in the bus…..all are hanging around…. Don’t know what happened…everything is blown away,” Das is heard saying in the viral video.
Soon after the Scorpio rammed into the convoy, there were two IED blasts and cross firing between the soldiers and terrorists. The terrorists escaped. For the first time, the CRPF has been attacked in Kashmir. All jawans are shocked and are presently camping at the reserve camp now, added Das.
