CPM to take the lead in uniting secular forces against Hindutva: Yechury

A political alternative would be developed at the national level, with the CPM playing a pivotal role. He stated that the CPM would include social and cultural organizations in this struggle.

Digital Desk: According to Sitaram Yechury, the CPM general secretary, the CPM would take the lead in uniting secular forces against Hindutva communalism, which has posed a severe danger to the nation's secular nature.

Speaking to media in Kannur on Monday, a day after the completion of the 23rd party congress, he said the CPM is prepared to resist the onslaught of Hindutva forces and will collaborate with other regional parties eager to fight with them.

The BJP administration at the Centre seems unconcerned with issues that make people's life unpleasant, such as price increases for critical items, gasoline price increases, poverty, and unemployment. They are hijacking state elections by promoting communal fascist agendas. According to Yechury, their main concerns are hijab and halal.

A political alternative would be developed at the national level, with the CPM playing a pivotal role. He stated that the CPM would include social and cultural organizations in this struggle. According to him, the CPM wants the census to be produced based on caste. "Only then can the true statistics on the people who are being ignored be disclosed."

"In the social realities of the nation, those who are persecuted in the guise of caste are also the same people who are oppressed economically," Yechury explained. "At the moment, the Central Government has no data on this." "They're creating data for their own benefit," he explained.

He said that the BJP administration at the Centre is attempting to dismantle the nation's federal nature, which is safeguarded by the Constitution, and is attempting to destabilise states run by parties other than the BJP by anti-constitutional measures.
