India is in all-win win situation right now, as two medals are already confirmed from women’s single final badminton match to be played by an all-India team-PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal. On the other side, the newly crowned world no 1 will be taking over former world champion, Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. The Indian badminton contingent displayed fabulous sportsmanship skills in the arena and is already assured of three medals.
It will be an all-India final on Sunday with shutlers gearing up for gold medal in women’s singles court as PV Sindhu will take on Saina Nehwal, while on the other side, newly-crowned Kidambi Srikanth will vie for the top honor in the arena.
Saina Nehwal, who had missed her chances at the medals tally in Glasgow due to a long battle with injuries, has finally paved her way through the summit and is now at least assured of a silver medal when she takes on compatriot Sindhu.
