Assam/New Delhi : Award winning cyclist from New Delhi Aftab Faridi reached Samaguri who is aiming for Guinness world record. He has set his eyes on 30,000 km mark passing through all the 29 states and 1135 districts of the country in nine months through continuous cycling.

The journey started on August 26 and the young boy has pedaled his way and reached the Northeast. He is all set to travel all the states of the Northeast. “I intend to travel not just for the love of cycling but for spreading the message of courage and discipline in the youth of the country,” Aftab said.
Aftab Faridi has been working with Decathlon Sports India for the past 2 years and has been vocal about dedicating his tour to the lives of the Indian Army calling it ‘Pedal For soldier’.

“This tour is under the banner of the Indian Army, who live a lifetime dedicated to courageous action, guarding our borders day and night,” he added.
Aftab also added that he was immensely pleased by the immense hospitality and down to earth attitude of the Assamese people after entering Samaguri.
