    Digital Desk: A newborn baby girl
    was saved from a dump in southwest Delhi on Saturday. She was hypothermic,
    incredibly weak, and out in the rain with her umbilical cord still connected.



     



     The baby is currently
    being kept in a private hospital. She is being examined by the doctors to rule out any medical issues.



     



     



    She was spotted by two
    passerby’s in  Rajokri village who immediately called the police. As per
    reports, police received information on a girl child who was found lying in the
    trash at Rajokri Bus Stand.



     



    The baby was taken to
    Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, by the police where she is currently undergoing
    primary treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and her
    health is stable. Further legal action is being taken as per the law, the DCP
    added.



     



    A team of doctors in
    Fortis Hospital took the baby into their care. The team is led by Dr. Rahul
    Nagpal, Director, and Head of the Department, of Pediatrics



     



     Reports say that
    the baby was born within the last 24 to 48 hours, and her skin turned blue
    because of being exposed to cold air. Her weight is below two kilos, which is
    lesser than average. Also as a preterm baby, her body temperature was 33 degree
    Celsius, lower than the normal 36.4 degrees Celsius.
