new Delhi: As reports last came in, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi party (AAP) is likely to retain power in the national capital for the third consecutive term with thumping victory. As per the latest election trends, AAP is ahead on 58 seats while the BJP is lagging behind on 12 seats. Congress party, however, is nowhere in the race.
While AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is leading from the New Delhi seat, his lieutenant Manish Sisodia is trailing from the Patparganj seat. Amid a huge gap between the BJP and AAP, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has said that there is still time before counting of votes concludes. He also said as the BJP chief, he would accept the Delhi people’s mandate respectfully.
Will Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) win a third term in the national capital or will BJP led by Manoj Tiwari make the cut and revive itself after 22 years, results will be known in few hours from now. One of the most closely watched elections across the nation will culminate with the results on Tuesday.
