Mumbai: Forwarding his help for the flood ravaged state of Assam Bollywood Star Akshay Kumar said – “Don’t tweet, help instead”. The star has insisted people to help the flood victims of Assam instead of feeling sad and sorry and posting emotional messages on twitter.

The floods in Assam triggered by incessant rains have affected more than 80 lakh people in total 31 districts of Assam.

Akshay kumar who has donated 1 crore to the chief minister relief fund for Assam on Wednesday urged his audiences to contribute to the relief operations rather than tweeting about the same.
During the trailer launch of his upcoming movie “Mission Mangal”, the star said, “I just don’t want to react or tweet I am feeling sad. I would appeal to all don’t tweet but donate even if it’s a penny.”
The ‘Gold’ star also donated rupees 1 crore for Kaziranga Park rescue.
