Surender Singh Bishnoi, a DSP stationed in Tauru, went to investigate and put an end to illegal mining.
Digital Desk: Surendra Singh Bishnoi, DSP of Tawadu (Mewat), was crushed to death by an illegal mining gang on Monday in Nuh's Pachgaon, near Gurugram. The DSP went to the location to stop the illegal mining.
The DSP died instantly, and his body was discovered in an open dumpster.
As per the reports, the Tauru DSP was conducting a raid in a region near Pachgaon where the illicit mining mafia is particularly active. Bishnoi arrived at around 11.50 am at the site, accompanied by two police officers, a driver, and a gunman, after receiving information that illegal mining was occurring. He signaled a stone-laden truck to slow down, but the driver accelerated and ran him over.
Reportedly, the accused is on the run, and police have launched a search operation. Top police officers, including the Inspector General of Nuh, have rushed to the spot.
DSP Taoru Sh Surender Singh sacrificed his life today while performing his duties. #HaryanaPolice sends its sincere condolences to the brave officer's bereaved family. No effort will be spared to bring the offenders to justice, according to a statement from the Haryana Police.
This year marked Surender Singh Bishnoi's retirement.
