Digital Desk: In the aftermath of the tragic Bengaluru stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a deeply emotional video has emerged showing a grieving father at the grave of his 21-year-old son.

BT Lakshman, the father of Bhoomik Lakshman, who tragically lost his life during the stampede at the IPL trophy celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), was seen lying prostrate on his son's grave, overwhelmed with grief and refused to leave the site.

The heart-wrenching video of his grief was shared by the official X handle of the Karnataka BJP, which has held the Congress-led government accountable for the tragedy.

Bhoomik was among the 11 victims who lost their lives on Wednesday, June 4, when a massive crowd of RCB fans gathered outside the M Chinnaswamy stadium to celebrate the team's maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title victory.

Authorities have attributed the tragedy to poor crowd management and inadequate planning. The incident has also left 56 people injured.

Karnataka Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah on Saturday announced an increase in compensation for the victims' families, raising it from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Meanwhile, Karnataka police have arrested RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale and detained three staff members of DNA Entertainment Private Limited, the organiser of the victory celebration.

Bengaluru police also registered a case against the RCB team, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), DNA Entertainment Pvt Ltd, and others involved in the incident.

Activist HM Venkatesh from Karnataka's Shivamogga district has filed a complaint against RCB batter Virat Kohli, further intensifying the scrutiny surrounding the event on Friday.
