Flight Operations Disrupted at Delhi Airport Due to Heavy Rainfall
According to reports, the IGI in Delhi has recorded 19 diversions to Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Amritsar, and Mumbai.

Digital Desk: Several flights have been diverted and delayed due to inclement weather in Delhi. Flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport have been affected by heavy rain and strong gusts.

As per a notice issued by Air India on Twitter, many flights have been diverted due to bad weather in the capital. They also advised passengers about road congestion and asked them to be on time at the airport.

According to reports, the IGI in Delhi has recorded 19 diversions to Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Amritsar, and Mumbai.

While torrential rainfall relieved Delhiites after days of searing heat, complaints of waterlogging and traffic congestion have also been reported.

Since the morning, many people have been stranded at the airport as planes have been rescheduled.

It may be mentioned that the Delhi-NCR has been receiving extensive rainfall since Monday. Furthermore, several areas witnessed heavy downpours and strong winds, leading to a dip in temperature.

The weather department has forecast thundershowers with moderate rainfall will continue over Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) in the morning.

In their tweet, IMD said, "Thundershower with moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 60-90 Km/h would continue to occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram."
