    Following the cloudburst incident, the Amarnath Yatra resumes from the Nunwan-Pahalgam Camp.

    Digital Desk: The Amarnath Yatra, which had been momentarily put
    on hold after a cloudburst incident near to the holy cave, was reported to have
    begun on Monday morning from the Nunwan-Pahalgam side by the Shri Amarnath Ji
    Shrine Board. A new set of Amarnath pilgrims has started to leave the Jammu
    base camp.

    "We are inspired and determined to receive Baba's
    "darshan" no matter what. We are happy that the Yatra has resumed.
    The CRPF and other troops have provided us with guidance to ensure our safety
    "added the pilgrims.

    As pilgrims at the Baltal Base Camp wait for the yatra to
    resume, helicopters from both the Baltal and Nunwan sides will be available.

    On Friday, a cloudburst at the Amarnath cave temple led to flash
    floods that killed 16 people and left at least 30 more missing.

    Today, 34 additional injured pilgrims were evacuated by IAF
    Mi-17 V5 and Cheetal helicopters. IAF helicopters also carried 20 NDRF
    personnel and six dogs in order to search for missing people who may be buried
    beneath debris.

    The Indian Army also set up radars on Sunday to search for
    survivors among the debris.

    The Xaver 4000 radar was installed and has been in use at
    Amarnath since late in the day in an effort to find any survivors under the
    wreckage, according to Indian Army sources.

    On Sunday in Pahalgam, the Lt. Governor met pilgrims and went to
    a base camp.

    "An effective rescue operation was carried out by the
    administration and security officers. We extend our sympathies to the families
    of the deceased. In addition to fixing the path, efforts are being made to
    restart the Yatra. Pilgrims are welcome, and we'll provide them access to all
    of our amenities "he added.  

    According to information provided on Saturday by Shri Amarnath
    Ji Shrine Board (SASB) officials, up to 35 pilgrims were released after
    receiving treatment. "17 patients are receiving care and will likely be
    released tonight. healthful and safe, "officials of the SASB.

    CRPF DG Kuldiep Singh said, "People with serious injuries
    were flown to Srinagar. Two buried yet living individuals were rescued. We are
    exercising every safety measure. Jammu and Kashmir police report that there are
    41 missing, some of whom have been found."

    At least 16 persons perished in the cloud burst incident
    near the revered Amarnath shrine, according to statistics from the National
    Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Saturday.

    The Indian Air Force dispatched four Mi-17V5 and four
    Cheetah helicopters for Saturday's rescue and relief operations at the Amarnath
    shrine. The Cheetah helicopters made 45 sorties, removing 45 survivors from the
    sacred cave while transporting five members of the NDRF and the Army as well as
    3.5 tonnes of humanitarian supplies.































    To expedite the rescue efforts in the impacted areas, the
    Indian Army has also gathered "essential rescue equipment."
