Former Pakistani diplomat Amir Zubair Siddique has been put under the ‘Wanted List’ by NIA, month after a chargesheet has been filed against him in connection with insighting terrorism against India. He was wanted in many cases of illegal works such as counterfeiting Indian currency and circulating them around the country through Tamil Nadu.
Siddique has been named “Boss” in the NIA ‘Wanted List’ who has been identified as a Pakistani official who works as a visa counselor in the High Commission of Pakistan in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the investigation agency said in a report.
Amir Siddique along with two other Pakistani officers has been charged with waging war against India and plotting to launch 26/11 type attacks on US and Israeli consulate behind Indian Army and Indian navy Commands in South India.
Siddique’s role in waging war against India was unearthed in 2012 by the CID when one Thameem Ansari was arrested by the agency. According to insider’s report, Siddique along with his accomplishes had planned to attack on Israeli consulate in Chennai, the Israeli consulate in Bengaluru, The Eastern Naval Command Head Quarter in Visakhapatnam and ports in India.
According to TOI reports, NIA is preparing to send a request to Interpol seeking red corner notices (RCNs) against the Pakistani officers along with Amir Zubair Siddique, who have been reportedly being repatriated to Islamabad.
