Srinagar: Kashmir government will be setting up 50 public call offices (PCOs) in each district of Kashmir division so as to provide the general public free of cost calling facilities. This was stated by the Kashmir’s Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan.
Khan further said that locations and other modalities for the PCOs have been finalized. Further the list for setting up the PCOs and other details have to be provided to the BSNL authorities so that the work can be done from today.
The government’s latest decision to facilitate the communication comes after the revival of the suspended mobile telephony for the post-paid customers. However, the mobile internet service and pre-paid mobile services still remains suspended in the Valley.
