Digital Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched India's first set of MBBS textbooks in Hindi in Bhopal. Speaking to a crowd at the inauguration ceremony, Shah said that Prime Minister Modi's New Education Policy gave Hindi and other Indian languages more priority.
"PM Modi has increased the importance of pupils' native languages under the new National Education Policy. This is a significant choice, “Shah said.
He added, the day will go down in history in "golden letters" since it is so significant for India's educational system.
"Today Amit Shah has brought a new dawn in the lives of children of the poor, who could get admission to medical colleges but were caught in the web of English and many times couldn't pass exams and left their studies," Chouhan continued in response to the concerns of the students who did not grow up speaking English.
