Digital Desk: Police arrested a management student, the son of a pharmaceutical company owner, on Saturday for allegedly selling hash oil-laced chocolate bars. The student, identified as Rishi Sanjay Mehta, 22, of Narsingi, was arrested with 48 chocolate bars and 40 grams of hash oil.

According to a statement issued by the Hyderabad Police Department, Mehta used to take orders for his drug-laced chocolates through his social media accounts and used online delivery aggregators for supply after receiving money through online banking transactions.

The student was apprehended by Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) agents working with Musheerabad Police. Officers seized Mehta's cellphone as well as the equipment used to make the chocolates from the house.

During his college years, Mehta was addicted to marijuana and hash oil, according to the investigation. Because he couldn't afford his lavish lifestyle, he began selling e-cigarettes and later began selling drug-laced chocolates as a source of income.
